Kobalt Signs Fraser T. Smith
Kobalt, an independent music services company, built for artists, songwriters, publishers and labels as an alternative to the traditional music business model,
has signed multi-Grammy Award winning record producer, songwriter and musician, Fraser T. Smith and his publishing company 70HZ Publishing. The worldwide agreement includes publishing administration for all of Smith’s future works as well as some recent catalogue. In addition, Smith and his managers Sarah T. Smith and Neale Easterby will work closely with Kobalt’s worldwide creative team to find the best songwriting and networking opportunities around the world.
Smith has co-written, produced and mixed six number one singles and has contributed to multiple Number One albums in the UK and US. These include Adele's “Set Fire to the Rain” single, Stormzy’s recent UK number one album “Gang Signs & Prayer”, contributions to Kano’s UK top 10 album ‘Made In “The Manor”, Dave’s single “Wanna Know (Remix) feat. Drake”, James Morrison's “Broken Strings (feat Nelly Furtado)” and Taio Cruz’s UK and US number one “Break Your Heart”.

Fraser founded 70Hz three years ago with his wife and co-manager, Sarah. The idea was to maintain a tight, boutique roster providing a bespoke service that could be a point of difference from other publishing companies. Through Fraser’s own experience as both a songwriter and producer, he provides mentorship and advice to the young roster for both composition and production helping them with own strategy and development.

169 Tyrell AKA 169 is an artist, topliner and track writer. He co-produced and co-wrote Dave’s EP Six Paths including the international hit ‘Wanna Know’ featuring Drake. He’s recently been working on Craig David’s new album with Fraser and is just finishing his own EP ‘Seasons’.
Peter Rycroft is a hugely talented writer / producer. He has had recent collaborations with Nina Nesbitt, J Hart, Antigoni, Crystal Fighters and Bibi Bourelly. Recent releases include ‘Waking Up Slow’ with Gabrielle Aplin (which he co-wrote, produced and mixed)
Liverpool born Christopher Peers is an exciting, percussive and tribal inspired house DJ. Recent success with tracks such as The Latin Track, Ambience and Scouse Afrika, which was hugely popular across the festival circuit.
Former PMR signed artist with successful tracks such as ‘Intoxicated’ and ‘Show Me Something’, decided to turn his hand to collaborating with other writers and artists. Has worked on recent releases with Swedish up and coming star, Janice.
