MAY 18, 2021 - Kobalt today announced the signing of Seeb to a global publishing deal. The deal includes a full range of creative, synch, and administration services for their catalog and future works.

Seeb is widely known for their monster hit in 2016 with a remix of Mike Posner's "I Took A Pill In Ibiza". The single ended up on top of both Billboard Dance / Mix Show Airplay Chart and Billboard Pop Songs, as well as #4 on Billboard Top 100 and #2 on Spotify Global. Since release it has been streamed over 2.6 billion times.

In addition to their many strong remixes - including Coldplay's "Hymn for the Weekend" & Taylor Swift's "Delicate " – the Norwegian duo has released two EPs and are featured on a great deal of tracks. Excluding remixes, Seeb has over 1 billion streams on their original and featured songs. Last January, the duo shared their first full length studio album, "Sad In Scandinavia.” Influenced by a year of covid-19 and its consequences, the album offers an alternate reality for the listener to escape into. The star-studded list of featured collaborators include K Camp, Bastille, Goodboys, HRVY, Julie Bergan and Dagny, among others.

Commenting on the deal, Johan Ekelund, Managing Director, Nordics of Kobalt said, “Seeb is as creative as they're technically skilled. They've raised the bar for remixes and created ground-breaking original tracks. Their ability to source co-creators for collaborations makes them endlessly exciting. I consider Seeb as a perfect fit with Kobalt and I'm delighted they've chosen to work with us.”

Simen Eriksrud and Espen Berg of Seeb added, “We are very happy to be working with Kobalt. The main reasons behind our decision to team up is the great people in the Kobalt system, the flat structure, total transparency in data and the great online system for statements and reporting. We really feel that Kobalt set the standard for how publishing should be dealt with today and going into the future.”
