Perez to Partner with CEO Laurent Hubert to Run Day-to-Day Operations
Kobalt has promoted Jeannette Perez from chief experience officer to the position of president & chief operating officer. In the new role, Perez will partner with Kobalt CEO, Laurent Hubert, to run the day-to-day operations of the company. In addition to her previous role, she will now also oversee creative A&R, publishing operations, and the company’s continued efforts around diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Additionally, she will continue to oversee synch & brand partnerships, business development, marketing, Kobalt’s international offices and writer & publisher relations.
Under Perez’s leadership as chief experience officer, she has transformed Kobalt’s client operations through an enhanced writer and publisher relations service, continues to drive Kobalt’s global synch business and works closely with Kobalt’s regional offices to further international growth, most recently hiring Stephane Berlow as managing director in Paris.

Perez is a widely respected and recognized leader in the industry, honored for her work and sought after for her expertise, including serving in the renowned music juries for Cannes Lions (’18) and Clio Music (’19). Additional awards include: Billboard’s Women in Music (‘20, ‘19), Billboard Branding Power Player (’19; ’18), Billboard International Power Player (’19), Billboard Indie Power Player (’17) and Billboard 40 under 40 (’15). Prior to joining Kobalt, Perez worked at Sony Music Entertainment for twelve years where she most recently served as their vice president of music for brands & advertising. Perez holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
