SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 – Kobalt today announced a worldwide renewed partnership with Latin singer/songwriter, Ozuna. The extension of the worldwide agreement continues to include publishing administration for all of Ozuna’s future works as well as his back catalog.

“Ozuna embodies everything that makes up a global superstar.” said Kobalt Music President, Latin America, Nestor Casonu. “His versatility as an artist and a songwriter and his ability to fuse all Latin genres sets him apart from the rest. From the beginning we were able to build a good mutual relationship together and this renewal is a testament to the trust we have in each other. We are truly honored to continue with our relationship with Ozuna and look forward to supporting him and his success for years to come.”

Since joining Kobalt, Ozuna has released three albums, all of which have debuted at number one on Billboard’s Latin Albums chart, along with a total of 18 number one singles on Billboard’s Latin Airplay charts including, “Taki Taki”, “Unica”, and “Baila Baila Baila”. Odisea (2017) spent 46 weeks at number one, the second-longest run behind Gloria Estefan’s 1993, Mi Tierra. Aura (2018) and Nibiru (2019), followed with multiple singles charting on each.

Leslie Ahrens, SVP, Creative, Latin America, said of the deal, “Ozuna’s songs have helped define a new generation of music for Latinos all over the world as well as spreading Latino culture and its diverse music globally. We are beyond thrilled to have Ozuna continue to be part of the Kobalt family.”

Ozuna said, "I'm very grateful to continue working with Kobalt and look forward to continued success with them.”

In 2019, Ozuna continued his success, topping Justin Bieber as the artist with the most views on Youtube, with seven videos with over one billion views. That, along with his 11 Billboard Latin Music Award wins, the most wins by a single artist, landed him on Time’s 100 Most Influential People list.

“I am happy that we could come to terms for Ozuna’s extension with Kobalt,” said Simran A. Singh of Singh, Singh & Trauben, LLP. “Kobalt undoubtedly knows Ozuna’s value and now Kobalt will get to publish dozens of more Ozuna number one singles.”
