KOBALT CLIENTS WIN 13 ASCAP AWARDS INCLUDING SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR
Kobalt client Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald won ASCAP Songwriter of the Year at the ASCAP Pop Awards held in Los Angeles.
Dr. Luke's successful year has included the writing and producing of such hit songs as "Hot N Cold" by Katy Perry, "My Life Would Suck Without You," by Kelly Clarkson, "Circus" by Britney Spears, "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus, and "Right Round" by Flo Rida.
Other Kobalt clients who celebrated ASCAP Pop Awards include: Max Martin (for the songs "Hot N Cold," "My Life Would Suck Without You," and "Please Don't Leave Me"); Ryan Tedder (for the songs "Already Gone," "Bleeding Love," and "Halo"); Al Shuckburgh (for the song "Empire State of Mind"); Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi (for the songs "Day N' Nite" and "Heartless"); and Desmond Child (for the song "Waking Up In Vegas"). Additionally, Prescription Songs writer/producer Allan Grigg (aka Kool Kojak) received an ASCAP award for the song "Right Round."
